Coffee and Birds
Coffee and Birds is a great ride for a beginner or anyone that wants to take it easy. Start with a leisurely coffee and follow a paved and dirt road to the lovely Randall Davey Audubon Center & Sanctuary located at Upper Canyon Road. The route is mostly paved and traffic moves relatively slowly. Watch some of the blind corners on upper canyon.
The Randall Davey Audubon Center & Sanctuary encompasses 135 acres of striking landscapes and wildlife. Bounded by thousands of acres of National Forest and Santa Fe River Watershed land, the Center and Sanctuary provides a peaceful sanctuary for plants, animals and our visitors. Ranging from common to rare, approximately 130 species of birds can be found in or over the various ecosystems of this sanctuary. The center is currently open daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You can also visit our Nature Store, which is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Visit their site.
